Your dog can be trained to provide you with emotional support and comfort during difficult times, along with other specialized tasks to help relieve your depression and anxiety.

This program consists of teaching your dog obedience training and manners. For example, walking nicely on a loose leash, coming the first time you call your dog and greeting people politely without jumping on them, etc.

In addition, your dog can be taught the same specialized tasks that assistance dog trainers use to help mitigate certain disabilities involving depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism, etc.

Your dog can be trained to:

• Wake you up in the morning if you have problems waking up on time to go to work or school,

• Retrieve the phone in case of health emergency,

• Locate and alert a family member that you need them,

• Alert you to the presence of an intruder,

• Walk on a loose leash to help reduce isolation and get exercise and fresh air, important for releasing the feel-good chemicals in the brain,

• Retrieve something dropped on the floor if you have back problems,

• Teaching your dog sit-stay or down-stay next to you and/or deep pressure therapy for calming you down if you are having an anxiety attack or depressive episode,

• Offer emotional support and comfort whenever you need it. This is also beneficial to children with special needs,
